Mongolian Peacekeepers honoured at the centenary ceremony by the Mongolian Armed Forces
  • 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the modern Mongolian Armed Forces. On 9 May, the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces held a celebration for this historic milestone with the presence of the President of Mongolia and the Commander-in-Chief of the Mongolian Armed Forces Kh. Battulga, Minister for Defence G. Saikhanbayar and selected dignitaries including former defence ministers and ambassadors of the countries with military ties with Mongolia.

Development Bank of Mongolia to integrate sustainable financing into its operations
  • Ulaanbaatar – Mongolia needs a significant amount of financial resources to meet its nationalized Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the financing gap has further widened due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the systemic changes needed to address this gap, integrating sustainable financing principles to the Development Bank of Mongolia (DBM) operation is a vital component as the bank is an instrumental force for driving the country’s development.

An Integrated Coordination Group on the COVID-19 response kicked off in Mongolia
  • The first meeting of the Integrated Coordination Group (ICG) in COVID-19 response, initiated jointly by the Deputy Prime Minister and UN Resident Coordinator, was held virtually yesterday with the participation of more than 60 participants including Government representatives, Ambassadors, Humanitarians as well as Development Partners and UN Agencies.
